First Internet Video Resume By Michael McAnally, May 16th 2001
Back then streaming videos were the size of a postage stamp on a screen in high resolution. You had to install a plug-in to play it on browsers other than Internet Exploder. The plug-ins no longer work well, if fact they never did work well because of all the browser wars and no standardization on video players.
Set to auto-play on the load of the page. Possibly the very first Internet Video Resume by Michael McAnally.
This may be the first video resume to be seen over the Internet prior to the creation of YouTube. I used it for pre-screening just before job interviews, in an email link, and if the employer would look at it. I was experimenting with steaming video at the time, and beginning to work on my VideoServer project. Long and boring, people seemed to have longer attention spans back then, but maybe that's only my opinion.
You can verify this by using the way back machine archives to examine the webmac.com website URL back around the time of May 16, 2001. At this location you can see where this video was actually placed in the upper left corner of the browser page (by clicking on resume button at left nav) showing a scrollable text version of my resume at the time.
I am also holding a paper copy of my resume in the video. This resume is now very much out of date , anyway it is only included here for historical note/significance.
